The challenge

Follow-up that depended on someone remembering.

AL-Araf needed a better way to manage leads, customers, follow-ups and retention campaigns. Follow-up was manual, customer data was disorganized and lead opportunities were being missed.

There was no abandoned cart flow and no communication after purchase. Segmentation was weak, so messages couldn’t be matched to customers, and limited reporting made it hard to see what was working.

Reading the evidence

What each result measures.

Retention results are easy to overstate. Here is what each figure tells you, and what it doesn’t.

+74% cart recovery

More abandoned carts turned into orders once the reminder sequence and SMS reminders were running. Before, there was no cart flow at all.

+61% email revenue

Growth in revenue credited to email. Email platforms credit sales that follow a message, and some of those customers might have bought anyway.

+60% repeat purchases

More customers buying again, supported by post-purchase, review and win-back flows.

20 hours a week

Manual follow-up the team no longer has to do, because the journeys now run automatically.

Credited is not the same as caused.

No holdout comparison is reported for this project, so these figures show growth in credited results rather than proven extra revenue. To measure what flows truly add, hold back a random group of customers from receiving them and compare. Our CRM retention guide explains how.

How it fits together

A better store, followed by better follow-up.

The client also reported well-structured site journeys, improved navigation and an improved UI and UX, which connect to the AL-Araf website MTI Tech built. The website brings customers in; the CRM workflows keep the relationship going after the first order.

Automated messages are only as good as the data and permissions behind them. Segmentation and a clean CRM structure came first, so each flow reaches the right customers.
